String Quartet Academy

Delgani’s String Quartet Academy is an all-inclusive, weeklong immersive chamber music experience. Participants rehearse and perform quartets and play in the camp-wide string orchestra. Students also have daily masterclasses and extracurricular courses in theory and history all while working closely with Delgani musicians.

Our 2025 Academy will be hosted by the University of Portland. Students can elect to stay in the dormitories on campus or commute.

WHO: Intermediate to advanced violinists, violists, and cellists in middle school, high school, or university

WHEN: Monday July 21 to Saturday July 26

WHERE: University of Portland, 5000 N Willamette Blvd, Portland OR 97203

TUITION: $1250 includes room and board on campus; $850 commuters *

PRACTICAL DETAILS:

  • For those staying on campus, housing is for five nights, Monday through Friday. Meals are included beginning with lunch on Monday and ending with breakfast on Saturday. We ask everyone to please eat breakfast before arriving on Monday morning.

  • Commuters will receive lunch Monday through Friday. They may purchase breakfast and/or dinner a la carte as needed.

  • A performance for family and friends will take place late Saturday morning

  • Application deadline is May 1

* Need-based financial aid is available. Thanks to strong donor support, we have been able to meet every need since our first camp in 2016.

Application fee of $30 will be applied to your tuition
