Chamber Music Workshop

Delgani’s workshops are designed for instrumentalists who would like to improve their chamber music skills while exploring new repertoire. Individuals and pre-formed groups are invited to apply.

This workshop is for all abilities – Students, professionals, and amateurs.

Individuals will be placed into ensembles with fellow participants. Groups will have rehearsals, receive coachings, explore repertoire in reading sessions, attend seminars, and have the opportunity to perform. There will also be opportunities to read music with others and work with members of the Delgani String Quartet.

WHO: All levels of violinists, violists, cellists, as well as advanced pianists and woodwinds that can join strings for chamber music (i.e., flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon)

WHEN: Saturday May 24 (1 to 5 p.m.), Sunday May 25 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), and Monday May 26 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

WHERE: Portland State University, Lincoln Hall, 1620 SW Park Ave, Portland, OR 97201

PRACTICAL DETAILS:

  • The workshop begins with an ACMP (Associated Chamber Music players) play-in on Saturday May 24 from 1 to 5 p.m. The play-in cost is included with your tuition.

  • An optional performance will take place on Monday at 3 p.m. in Lincoln Recital Hall

  • Registration deadline is April 15 extended to April 20 at 11:59 p.m.

Participants will need to include a link to a recent video during registration. Please record yourself playing something and upload it to YouTube, Facebook, or Vimeo. You will be asked for the link when you register. This is used only for group placement.
