Delgani II – The Heart of Invention
The Heart of Invention explores the meeting place between the counterpoint and conversation of four voices and deep feeling. After opening with haunting arrangements of Bach’s Art of Fugue by Stefano Scodanibbio, we turn to the rarely heard second quartet of Czech composer Vítězslav Novák. Schumann’s richly expressive first quartet closes the program. Violist Mara Gearman from the Seattle Symphony will be joining Delgani for this set.
